To be able to Render text correctly you need to Add the dll override for d2d1.dll you can go use protontricks to go into the wineconfig and add the override or you can use the launch command and it SHOULD work!
I changed the name of the file thats inside "Movie" folder
HEAVY font size with ProtonGE 9.21, i changed it to WineGE with japanese fonts in the prefix and everything goes well (and the font is working properly)

I added the d1d2 from Winecfg. And install some fonts from Winetricks.
Must rename or remove video in 'Movie' folder or game will stay on black screen.
using the launch options and renaming the video in the 'Movie' Folder, game works fine, and text is just like in windows.

Text is way to spaced out and big. It goes off screen and is pretty much unplayable
Sometimes it would not load the title screen, sometimes I can get in game. It's weird
