Works out of the box
Performance is around 60-80 fps with dips to 45, but it's early access and from what I gathered, there are performance updates planned.
Friend on Windows was able to join my Linux hosted game via ingame server browser with no issues.
Weird Shaders, Lighting & Light effects since weather was introduced.

Tested with proton 8.0-2 - No problem, "Plug & Play" like
I used the GE version of Proton but I suspect this will run on regular versions as well. Game runs perfectly despite the massive overhaul updates the game has recently went through.
The game is in Beta so its hard to tell what is Proton issues and actual bugy beta issues.
The game worked out of the box when I used Proton-7.0rc6-GE-1. The frame rate seems very stable at 120 after the game loaded in.
Works extremely well for being early access
Worked out of the box no issues so far
mouse was "boxed in" inside invisible bounds on the main menu. I had to alt-tab to make it move over to the actual menu items.
had view issues with the latest version of proton. Mouse would not move the view when driving a locomotive. Had to use 5.13.6 on Debian 11 to resolve the issue.
Out of the box - haven't tested multiplayer
Worked perfectly out of the box.
Works really well for me. Game play is really smooth.

Proton runs well but the game is in alpha and a bit pricey for what's there at the moment. I still had fun with my friends though.
After switching to and from virtual desktops it took a moment to recapture the mouse but it worked anyways.
Does not seem to be a problem with Proton but more so the alpha nature of the game so far. Surprised it worked so well with no tweaking honestly
Again its in alpha and has bugs, didn't see anything to suggest it was proton instead of the game.
