Problems I think start as the number of towers you place increases - may be better on a higher spec. PC otherwise its a very good game.
Fine when I first started playing but as the game progresses sound degrades
FPS gets slower the longer the game is played and the number of defence towers increases (toward the end it was getting down to 7 fps) even if you reduce the video quality settings.
I downloaded and tested the DEMO version first. The DEMO failed to launch under Proton Experimental. The DEMO launched and graphics worked from Proton 7.x/6.x/5.x but there was no sound. Under Proton 4.11-13 both graphics and sound worked in the DEMO. Gave me enough confidence to buy, download and install this — the full — version of the game. Once again, the game failed to launch with Proton Experimental. To my surprise, however, under Proton 7.0-4 not only did the game launch and the graphics work, but the audio worked as well. Sweet! In over 7 hours of playing I haven't come across any compatibility issues at all. I'm getting about 35-40fps @ 1080p with High video settings (but a couple of effects options turned off). That is probably just a limitation of my GTX 1050 Ti though, and I think the framerate is fine for the type of game that this is. No complaints.
Encountered no problems other than a one minute white screen at the first start of the game.

Can't blame the single (!) developer but with everything default this doesn't run very well on Linux with an older graphics card.
Settings don't survive a restart of the game
Very stuttery with my hardware even with everything set to low and effects turned off and reduced resolution.
