Runs perfectly out of the box.
no hardware accelleration
Runs without any problems. A Widescreen patch can be installed for higher resolutions just like on Windows (see https://steamcommunity.com/app/1346400/discussions/0/3033725780707286842/).

The game does not support widescreen by default, and also references a txt file of deviceids extra graphical features. I replaced the exe with a widescreen hack, and added the steam deck's gpu to the text file.
Until I toggle 3D Sound Hardware Acceleration, sometimes gets stuck playing the menu music on loop, even once you enter the game.
Game does not support controller input on the menus, and does not have controller bindings. You must manually select Custom configuration and then bind your controller. Leave Look set to Mouse, as the official controller layout recommends that. The default joystick detection is broken for right joysticks in this game.
Even without any tinkering, the game appeared to run as normal. It runs just fine in the default 4:3 and graphics settings it shipped with. The only work from a user is to bind the controller buttons. I would recommend a custom controller layout with mouse support on a touchpad because otherwise you are stuck using touchscreen.
