Done two races without a single issue
Tested the game with proton experimental not to have the usual protons wasting space, but game works flawlessy, videos do work and online multiplayer is perfect
it's really plug'n'play as it should be
Runs well, set to 45fps limit and settings on low. Infrequent microstutter. Overall fun to play.

Cloud saves are not supported by this game
Even after the 2022 Next-Gen DLC, game runs well and is still the best way to play Heat 5 by far. 45 FPS with settings on medium yields no stutter and still looks great, and also has decent battery life. Massively better than Heat 5 and Ignition on Switch.
Music sometimes would skip like a scratched CD during loading times.
Apart from minor music problems during loading screens. Game works pretty flawlessly.
No multiplayer
will recognize mulitplayer lobbies but will fail to join them
Works with regular proton 7-4, but the GE custom proton fixes FPS lag on main menu screens
This is the best mobile way to play Heat 5 by far. 45 FPS with settings on medium yields no stutter and still looks great, and also has decent battery life. Excited for the 2022 DLC to release soon. Massively better than Heat 5 on Switch. Only downside is that this game does not support Steam Cloud saves.
Set FPS to 40
Without the custom proton it won't launch.
Fixes for Logitech G29 Wheel.
Wheel only turns 180° Logitech G29 Wheel needs to be set to 240° in the Player Controls, I believe this is because in GHub that's what it is set to by default.
The controller isn't detected: I found that putting the switch on top of the wheel to the PS3 option (left side) let the game detect it.
Cant launch, I assume its an OS issue.

In a race you have a maximum of 30 FPS with the graphics settings on low.
FPS drop in main menu and pilot choice. Average of 10 FPS.
Works with controller the PS4
Works fine except intro / cutscenes

6.16-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
6.16-GE-1
Logitech G29 Wheel workesd as wll after button remapping, especially for Brake needed. I could nout to servers but did not play online.
6.10-GE-1

Had to rename the videos, no online modes.
The game starts, and then drops (to steam). As suggested, renaming the movies (*.mp4) on steam/steamapps/common/NASCAR Heat 5/NASCARHeat5_Data/StreamingAssets/PC/Movies (so that they are unavailable to play) the game launches, and career works just fine.
On multiplayer, fails with "Multiplayer error", and drops to lobby list. The game lists available lobbies, but can not join (or host) games.
Works great with Proton 6.3-1, no tweaking needed, ~100 fps on default defected medium on 3440x1440(21:9)

Could not get game to run reliably
Crashes after initial menus. mf-install seems to be required for multimedia output.
Works as expected, with the exception of the menu movie. The controller was detected and works (PS4).
Seems the menu is replaced by some kind of TV test page like screen. However it doesn't cause any issues with the game itself.
