Hard to see some text due to the raytracimg nature of the game
Sometimes controllers wouldnt detect
Has problems with mods that requires certain keys to be pressed

Changed Right Trackpad to be Mouse/Camera
Runs stable above 30 FPS with Render Scale set to Medium. Menu controls takes some getting used to as it uses Left Stick to control a cursor.

Set "Render quality" to Low, disabled "Depth of field", "Barrel distortion" and "Motion blur". Enabled "Allow Tearing", and "Half Rate Shading" in performance menu as well as FSR Scaling Filter w/ Sharpness on 5. Not sure if those last three things ultimately made a difference or not. With these settings it gets around 30-45 fps in game and 60 in menus.
Also, installed "Performance mod" by CoolJWB off the workshop. Left on the defaults (the options menu cannot be left once entered, be warned) and with the above configuration, it brings the game up to 55-60fps with it dipping as low as ~43 fps with a medium sized explosion. Frame limiter in power settings can be set to 30 and it will remain perfectly constant.
The only mild issue I have with playing this on Deck is that the menus are a little awkward to navigate as it has you use a mouse cursor controlled with the analog sticks. However, switching between these menus and actual gameplay is completely seamless and handled by the game. Note that to close out of menus, you have to press A with the cursor placed off the menu.
40Hz limit, scaling 100%, render quality at medium (Medium can be played at 50-60fps comfortably with the Performance Mod by CoolJWB https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2419552682, but fps drops should be expected when destroying stuff. also expect less battery life if you decide to cap your fps at 60.)
FSR set to sharpness 1 and VibrantDeck at 125 is optional, but looks good IMO.
enabled mouse gyro and back button for shift because i wanted to spawn a bunch of objects lol
i played on low settings and set it to window with 1088x680 resolution and enabled fsr on sharpness 1 the game looks a little worse and the text looks off but it plays better

40fps/40hz cap
A great way to smash and blow stuff up on the go with the steamdeck, Teardown gets two thumbs up over here. Cap the FPS to 40 and hz to 40 and its smooth.

40 Hz refresh rate / 40 FPS cap on Deck. Low quality setting in-game.
Render resolution to 75 % and quality to Low.
When waking up from sleep, the audio might start crackling systemwide after wakeup until the game is closed.
On the first launch, the inputs were completely broken. Never had that issue since.
Putting down graphic options and limiting TDP+Clock improves battery performance. In 30 minutes of gameplay during the intro missions my battery drained about 40%-50% with maximum OC settings (15 Watt TDP+1600 GPU Clock) so it is recommended to tune some settings.
Text is a bit difficult to read. It's recommended to use the magnifying glass feature (STEAM+L1) or put your face closer to the screen.
The game has released out of Early Access and is now Version 1.0. It comes with several benefits that it lacked from its previous release state where AMD systems could barely perform well due to the implementation of OpenGL on Windows 10. I have not experienced any major errors or performance issues on the SteamOS with Steam Deck, only some controller related issues that needs to be solved by the end user by using a community made layout or the default Steam Controller layout that the Steam Deck thankfully provides. Performance doesn't dip too much if you don't plan on setting whole buildings on fire and it's a very enjoyable experience.
Teardown is still an Early Access game in development but it is in a mature state. The Steam Input support is really good but keep in mind some old/outdated modded weapons might still expect keyboard/mouse inputs and will not work with the default configuration.
