Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut
I had stuttering during gameplay because I disabled DirectX at the begining as others had suggested but keeping this enabled and setting the FPS to 40 and refresh rate to 40 gave a flawless play through, no other settings were changed. Although you still have to use steam overlay to exit out of the game or it will fail to exit cleanly

Disable Gyro as mouse and trackpad as mouse
Plays extremely well if you disable Gyro as mouse and trackpad as mouse in steam input controller settings, otherwise you will experience juddering when moving. As others have mentioned forcing a Proton version installs the windows version of the game.
