PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% -glSteam
Audio crackling, but I suspect due to my hardware being low end for the game.
Game doesn't launch on my hardware normally. I suspect this is due to vulkan not being fuly implemented on earlier intel graphics. PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1
makes proton translate to opengl rather than vulkan, bypassing this issue. Not sure what -glSteam
does, but I just kind of left it in there.
When using experimental currently, as reccomended by previous report everything seems to work fine, other than gnome sending the message "steam isn't responding" during the first bits of the intro film. (This message can be safely ignored.)
I have not tried using different proton versions (neither Glorious Eggroll nor normal).
Yeah, it works fine once you get it working. Having to reinstall the game to fix the "windowed" bug could be pretty frustrating though.
gamemoderun %command%
Default fullscreen worked fine, but switching to windowed cause the game to stop showing on my screen. The only way I was able to fix it was just reinstalling the game.
The mouse pointer wasn't captured by the game properly; so on a multi monitor setup moving the cursor to the edge of the game to pan the camera often led to the mouse leaving the game window and stopping the panning. I fixed by unplugging the left and right monitor's display cables.
Every time I launch the game, it's presented with an error "Unknown GPU Vendor". The error states "The game is attempting to launch on an unknow GPU vendor, this game has not been tested on this GPU and may not be playable." Then on new lines: "VendorID: 0" & "DeviceID: 0". Clicking "OK" allows the game to launch normally.
I suspect that this may be the cause of scanning to set graphics defaulting to low on my hardware, even though the game runs well enough play competitive on High with FSR.
