Most recent update fixed massive performance issues, however I would suggest to turn off shadows or reduced them since is a performance hit.

Game launches and gives the "Authenticating with Steam" box but gives the "Login failed" error.

I'm not getting any anti-cheat errors so is probably an authenticating error that the devs haven't fixed or have neglect with Linux users.
