Tinker Steps:Switch to older version: 7.0-6
This report is for the demo. Game didn't run without tinkering, had to roll back all the way to 7.0.6. No commandline/launch options required at 7.0.6.

used protontricks to install d3dcompiler_46 and d3dcompiler_47
Protontricks was available to install via apt, ran it with protontricks --gui and followed the usual steps to install d3dcompiler_46 & _47. Installed both because _47 was labeled with a FIXME, and in other situations installing an earlier version has allowed FIXME labels to install.

Stopped loading to character select screen a few months ago. Now it DFW. Wasted space on hard drive atm
