the game is very good, although if you have an old computer like mine you will have to change the settings a bit
Tinker Steps:Switch to older version: 7.0-6
Graphics:Minor Artifacts
they were very frequent on the native version but less frequent on proton
Instability:Occasionally
on one occasion the game crashed every time I opened it, I was able to fix it by re-intstalling the game

I had to go to "~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/compatdata/238960/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/Path of Exile/production_Config.ini", and change the "render_type" from vulkan to dx11
