Runs natively OTB
i don't know why it has such bad reviews here, decided to try it out and didn't experiance those issues whatsoever.

In contradiction to the rating, this game seems to work well now, no issues found

At higher than Medium graphics settings, only the UI is visible. Some minor display bugs in the menu, but game itself seems to work great now.

Was broken, recent update for Win7 media issue resolved issue. Played through first level, all good!

Straight after install it displayed the splash screens but the main menu was blank with only a functioning mouse pointer. Everything resolved itself after game restart. I had to go from high -> medium graphics settings to achieve decent frame rates in mission 2. Everything seems to work out of the box by I never played the native windows version.

Issues seems to be fixed in update version 1.0.1 (~550MB update).
Seems like they changed some video files for Windows 7 compatibility which fixed the issue with Proton as well. It is working fine, played the first three missions already without an issue. Frame rates were enough as well.
Only played the main campaign for now. No idea on custom campaigns etc.
black screen only...
Loads up completely black screen with a moveable mouse and jittery audio. Impossible to get past the black screen
Black screen only...

Opens into black screen with cursor and background audio. Doesn't seem to proceed any further. Alt + f4 causes the game to freeze on KDE.

Opens to black screen with mouse cursor and jittery audio. Tried with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1, same result. opened Issue on proton github (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/3136), Valve user stated, "Looks like this game would benefit from support for Media Foundation maturing."
