tiny text in menus
lowest settings + 720p+ fsr isn't enough to maintain 30

Menu text is a bit small, but discernible. Gameplay uses few text prompts.
Players can expect an average framerate in the mid-20s.
Use the standard launcher. Game will not launch with the DirectX11 launcher.
Game is enjoyable due to its loose and laid back gameplay, not requiring precision or quick reactions. Players can expect no more than 90-120 minutes of play time on battery. The game looks good and plays well, but at the mentioned sub-30 framerate. No crashes or game-breaking issues, thus far.

Game will not launch unless forced to DX11 mode.
Update about a month after launch on Steam works out of the box on Steam Deck, but, as far as I can tell, only if you select DirectX 11 mode.

Graphical settings can be difficult to read.
Even at lowest settings, you will experience some performance slowdowns.
Tried only a tiny bit, but despite some slowdowns, the game seems perfectly playable to me.
However, as other users already reported, you will need vcrun2019 to run this game, otherwise the game wont launch. Considering I did struggle figuring this step out, heres a short step by step guide:
Go to desktop mode, find the Discover app and launch it, then search for protontricks inside the program. Once protontricks is finished downloading, search for it through taskbar and launch it. (Launching protontricks through the Discover app didnt work for me for some reason). Protontricks might startup with a permission requirement and a command you might need to use in your terminal, if it does, make sure to do just that. After you get Protontricks to run, find The Eternal Cylinder in the game list. (Throughout the following steps you might get some error messages to pop up, just ignore them and press ok on all of them). Once you select The Eternal Cylinder in the game list, select the default wineprefix and install it. Then choose the Install a Windows DLL or component option. Then find the vcrun2019 in the list and install it. (Again, if you encouter any error popups just ignore them and press ok on all of them). Then launch the game and use the DirectX11 option.
Out of the box, graphics set to high, FPS are sluggish in some situations, those become more and more frequent as you advance in the game, so I set FPS Cap to 40, refresh rate to 40Hz and ingame graphics to medium. This was an improvement but still it would be a bit sluggish sometimes, there's probably much better tweaks for this as it seems a minor issue, but I'm new to the Deck.
