There currently is a quirks with the fact that Linux is case sensitive on file names whereas Windows is not.

~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/TAOTH/textures/iceEnd.png

Please note the capital "E". If the game does not start, rename this file to read "iceEnd.png" with a capital "E".

In case you still have problems running this game in Linux, there might be some libraries missing.

The game was natively made for Windows and .NET, so on Linux you will need the following libraries that might or might not be already installed:

mono-runtime
system.drawing
libopenal1

for UBUNTU this would mean calling

sudo apt-get install mono-runtime, system.drawing, libopenal1
