I ended up installing the game on my Windows laptop to do a system transfer, but my install issues ended up happening on there, too. Though, it turns out I just needed to be patient, as it managed to fully install. Runs great with Proton 9.04

It got stuck at 99% installed before the download speed went from mbps to going back and forth between bps and kbps. If you want to play it on the go that badly, best deal with the Switch version and hope it'll run better on the Switch 2.
