This game used to be native. Dev silently pulled down Linux support (I found that out by sheer accident), so you're dependent on Proton.
I tested with GloriousEggroll, Steam Linux Native and Proton Experimental (6.4.x) and neither one works.

This game is not native anymore as the dev is unable to maintain the linux port of it. The current version for linux is severely out of date. Thankfully it seems to be running flawlessly in proton. I did not observe any noticeable performance or network issues playing on the north american server or doing coop building with one person (untested with multiple people though).
