Videos don't play unless you use GE
Hard to say if this is the game, or proton related. Reports on native windows suggest it's the game.

Only found when performing Wulfgar's ultimate attack, graphics got a bit wonky (giant see-through orange pixely screenflood) every time but still playable. Once ultimate expires, all goes back to normal. Have not yet tested with other characters. Everything else seems to work perfectly.
Just simple texture loading annoyance. Once loaded, no more stuteryness.
Controller (ELECOM JC-U3613M) worked flawlessly out of the box.
Also tested unfocusing and minimizing game window and both work without issue. Saw no change in game regardless of windowing style.
Have not yet tried in-game voice comms.

For proton 6.1-GE-2 everything is all right, except damn active abilities tab on the charter's menu.
Active abilities tab, character's menu. If a video with skill example will cycle - the game will freeze. Solution: quick pick your skill and leave the menu.
The report was written on day 2 after the game's launch date, no official patches applied.
Cut scenes do not play video, but do play sound. This extends to the videos for the moves menu, which crashed my game to play.
Had to limit frames to 30 fps and settings to medium to be able to play with steady fps.
Game crashes in the moves tab in the character sheet.
Missing cutscenes, the videos instead show the multi-bar test screen from old tvs.
I had to lower setting to medium accross the board and lowered the fps to 30 and close out of ther apps on my system, but even then couldn't keep a true steady 30, but never saw it dip below 20 after that.
Exept for the missing videos it was very much playable.
