works out of the box!
I had no problems at all! Its plug and play, using everything as default. The game uses Uplay, and its super easy to connect, then the game launches and go ahead and play. Runs better than on windows!

Online does not work.

It was awesome to sit and play with my GF and actually gonna have a family game night to play it
Gotta log into ubisoft, game might go black after ubisoft install, just restart game and it should bring you to ubisoft login.
Have fun!
Limited it to 5W for battery save but it occasionally dropped to 54-58fps (about once every 40-50 seconds) increased it to 8W which eliminated it as a whole. Battery consumption was 11.6W with 2.2W gpu and 1.6w cpu
Havent tried online multi, bought it for local couch coop and it workd perfectly
The crashing would frustrate most people, you have to learn to deal with it.
Happens at random, long intervals. This crashing is the only issue with local play.
When it crashes, you can reload using the autosave (which saves after each move by the players)
Why isn't this game supported by Ubisoft. It had such great potential.
Multiplayer still not working with UPlay
The Online just dosnt work at all. Tried multiable different proton versions but still didnt work
Proton-7.0rc6-GE-1
From my research I think that the issue is that the game cant detect uplay running in wine, it actually is running (and doesn't quit with the game, make sure to manually kill it)

Nothing I did could enable connectivity to uplay.
The game will play locally as long as your login information is current. Will run in Custom Proton Glorious Eggroll 6.21-GE-2 or Proton 6.3. There is no multiplayer without U-Play. It is January 2022, even original DIABLO could connect via dial-up 20 years ago. Thank you. Ubisoft.

Really inconsistant
Can get to the menu screen sometimes, other times the windows is just black, other times it crashes before that. Tried with ProtonGE-7.0rc3, Proton experimental and Proton 6.3-8.
It took a couple of restarts to get the uplay requirement working
Uplay site seems dodgy. Set up account at ubisoft then had to restart x3.
It opened Uplay.
I got to the Uplay screen where it asks for the activation code. I was not provided with an activation code anywhere, even though there was a DLC that installed that's supposed to come with it, so I couldn't play the game. I tried it with 4 different versions of proton including Proton-5.4-GE-3 https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases
It didn't launch.
Online does not work.
Works Well
It runs perfect.

Doesn't work. Crashes immediately if there is any window, UI or overlay on-top.
I alt + tabbed to discord and the game crashed and I can't open the game again even if I reinstall.
Tried with latest version of proton and tried with proton Glorious Egg roll and made no difference.

Worked fine. The first time I had to login to Uplay, close this software and than open the game again on steam.
Online is crucial, which does not work.
Animations are smooth, serious input lag
Online does not work

If there are a something(window, overlay) on top of the game, the game will crash
Online doesn't work

Doesnt work the Steam play remote together
Only slight issue is that when you exit the game, it doesnt exit fully (game is still reported as running in the Steam client)
Game wont exit properly; looks like it's tied to UPlay, and when you exit the game it doesnt shut down. The UPlay icon will be in your system tray, but it's unclickable after exiting the gmae
It works with Gloriuous Eggroll 5.1, out of the box, like native
However, when closing the game, Uplay wont close and you have to kill the proccess manually

There are two things you have to do. First you have to make a wineprefix to install uplay directly from their website. Then after installing Monopoly plus with steam you have to overwrite the uplay installed by steam with the uplay you installed in the wineprefix. After that on the first start you have to disable the overlay for Uplay and then kill the whole uplay-monopoly process and restart the game. If you did everything it should work perfectly fine for local games, online is not working due to Uplay overlay is disabled.

Broken again since Uplay got updated

No tweak worked. I see the uplay game launcher but the game doesn't show main menu.

Monopoly finally works with this version. The only change I've done is to use the new PROTON_USE_D9VK in set launcher options

Launched the game over Uplay threw lutris with lutris-experimental 4.10. Is quite anoying installing the game and i have to restart uplay when i wanna restart the game but at least it starts. Only local works, for online you need to enable the uplay overlay which crashes the game when opened.

Still crashes at the loading screen. Unplayable

Monopoly Plus launches, but now crashes out even before you get to the main game menu. Unplayable

The game actually launches now, but crashes out when it gets to the main 'hit enter to continue' page. The Ubisoft launcher in the system tray is still visible, so you can right-click that to exit.

Tried using the launch options individually to disable Esync, D3d11 and use Wine D3d11, none of which worked. In System Monitor I see upc.exe and the Ubisoft Game Launcher processes start, the latter of which ends shortly after and the game never launches.
