too much tinkering needed since it runs in windows OS and Linux nees to run these windows based components using 3rd party apps like wine
Tinker Steps:Switch to experimental, Set launch options, winetricks
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winmm=n,b" %command%
This might or might not work for you but for those who experienced FATAL ERROR when launching, try this fix
compatability: proton experimental set launch options: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="winmm=n,b" %command% ///this bypasses winmm.dll
make sure to also install UE4PrereqSetup_x64.exe in redist folder (Marvel.Vs.Capcom.Infinite.Deluxe.Edition.v2757512/Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite Deluxe Edition/Engine/Extras/Redist/en-us/) I use wine to install the executable to its destination folder.
