Game never starts
Steam will pretend I'm "playing" the game for as long as I let it, but no sign of the game itself ever actually appears.
The UI buttons are a bit small for the Steam Deck, so you'll need to make gratuitous use of pausing. Other than that, Creeper World works perfectly.
Runs perfectly but you can't full screen the game

Fullscreen does not really work. Game might also crash.

Works great out of the box, just don't use full screen!
Some of the music occasionally was crackling in main menu. Seemed to smooth out once entering gameplay. (This could also be because the menu music is insanely loud and can't be adjusted but this is a game issue, not a Proton issue.)
Full screen is glitchy and caused buttons to be offset, that is, clicking on one button actually resulted in another button being pressed. Don't use full screen and everything is fine.To achieve maximum screen size simply choose the largest size in settings to get maximum height, then drag the sides to each edge. Don't use the maximize button as this initiates full screen.
frame seems cut off at the bottom
I had to use Proton 4 instead of 5 to get this running
Wouldn't launch
It wouldn't launch with any version of proton available from the menu. With some versions, it would say the executable was missing, so I copied all files from my Windows partition (the install folder was completely empty). Still no launch.
