Particles decide to not be there sometimes
Crashes when spawning in enemies, leaving quick missions and stealth to be the only choice.
Hopefully this is fixed in the future. The community dev team is hard at work.
Works as expected
Didn't work previously on any proton version, but currently seems to be working fine on experimental (still a black screen on the steam default). The only problem is slightly laggy mouse input (it seemed snappier when I tried it on GeForceNOW) but it is playable.
Worked out of the box with no tinkering for me.
Performed very well during the Trainwreck heist on very hard difficulty, never dipped below 144 FPS which I had it capped at. Might have the same issues specifically to do with the game rather than playing it on Linux instead of Windows.
The latest update that saved the game sadly broke the game on proton.
Frequently crashed during missions. Was unable to complete any missions. Could not even attempt to troubleshoot as these crashes did not create crash logs. -crashdump launch option did not create crash logs either.
One other player joined my lobby and was able to play with me, until I crashed.
Tried Proton versions 8.0-5, 9.0 beta, and Experimental.
Not recommended. Had to run on the latest GE Proton to get it to even run, and it's crashed far too often to be enjoyable.
Crashed 4 times in the one hour I've been playing it. One time it crashed and rebooted my desktop environment.
I started 5 missions. I've only been able to beat 1 without crashing.
It doesn't work
Pure black screen, no matter what proton version You use.
Launching using any version outside of proton ge would simply not work. Recommended version complains about directx11 and experimental produces a black screen.
