Unlike all other entries on the Nekopara series, Vol. 0 is a prequel, a sort of "bonus disk" that is by far the simpler entry of the series. This one has no videos, other than that it's your standard Kirikiri fare, titles that are well behaved under Wine. Press "P" to jiggle and get that final achievement.

When switched to fullscreen from Windows, I had some problems. After restart, game properly started in fullscreen.

Since there is no video on this game unlike the Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, the only thing you need is to add this line of command as a launch option to fix the blank/square Japanese fonts.

Graphical regression with Proton 5.0-5. The Direct3D E-mote (live 2d avatars of the girls) won't appear, or in rare cases will appear semi-transparent. No issues with Proton 4.11-13.
Use "HOST_LC_ALL=ja_JP.utf8 %command%" as the game's launch options to enable Japanese locale for proper fonts display.

Run perfectly, Japanese appears as boxes if LC_ALL=ja_JP.UTF-8 %command% is not added to launch options. Chinese works out of the box.
Works perfectly fine. If you play the game with Japanese and English text ensure you have the proper charset installed otherwise you'll get boxes. English text works perfectly fine.
Chances are if this volume works the rest will as well.
