Ran the command: "WINEPREFIX=/home/USERNAME/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/compatdata/354620/pfx winetricks dotnet40" (without quotes) to install the correct dotnet package.
Clicking away then clicking back to the game will briefly flash a white screen before resuming.
The game does not open.
Even switching to proton-ge the game still doesn't open.
The game does not launch.

Fails to launch. Tried on multiple Proton versions. Anyone with more knowledge may be able to get it working with some tweaks.
I am fairly inexperienced with Proton / WINE, but I'm learning.
