AMD_DEBUG=nowc %command%
Running at like 2fps, set launch options fixed issue.

I made a critical mistake in step 10 in my previus report. Type 'dinput8'. Do not add any spaces.

Works without tinkering. To use the retranslation patch:
- Download below. Link is in the introduction section.
- Extact contents to SteamApps/common/Neptunia Rebirth2
- I opened the gui version for protontricks
- Select Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2
- Select default wineprefix
- Run winecfg
- Go to libraries
- In 'New override for library', type:
- dinput 8
- Cick 'Add'. Make sure dinput 8 has native, builtin.
- Click 'Apply' then 'Ok' to save and exit ( If my memory serves me right ).
- Keep clicking 'Cancel to exit'. Retranslation patch should work when you launch through steam. It'll display retranslation after the title in the main menu screen. Just be patient with protontricks gui has it could be slow. Some unknown guy may have better instructions me below for installing the retranslation.
In game, config, then in control remap. Remapped A and B as by default for me A was mapped to B and B was mapped to A.
Runs perfectly fine
- TDP: 3W
- GPU: 200MHx
- Screen: 30Hz
Game uses keyboard by default. Need to bring the keyboard up by pressing Steam + X then changing the input method to Gamepad in Options
Need to configure the controller input the first time you run the game.
Black Screen with audio
Think it driver problem.
Worked perfectly splendid
I doubt this is because of Proton, but for some reason the controller mappings (Xbox One controller) for A and B were swapped around on first launch. The issue persisted upon resetting to default settings. I had to go to the settings and remap them manually. After that, everything was flawless.

Install xact via Protontricks, otherwise sound effects won't work.
Game defaults to using M+K, need to go in the settings and manually switch the mapping to controller mode for the Deck's built-in controls to be recognized.
Aside from having to manually switch to controller mode, the game works flawlessly with zero hickups or slowdowns.
The game defaults with mouse and keyboard controls. The controller needs to be manually selected from keyboard input.
Worked out of the box with no tweaks made.
Works out of the box. Beat the story.
Compeleted one playthrough. No issues whatsoever
Runs pretty good.
Once or twice there was a crackling.
In every battle I see artifacts around character icons and in "the order of action" section.
So far I've watched Conquest ending without major problems. My gamepad was working fine too.
Works very well out-of-the-box with no tweaks
Almost Prefect

It runs perfectly fine without any issues.

Runs perfecty fine. Have encountered some glithcy graphics around the portraits of the characters on the HUD. The problem seams to be specific to my setup though. I didn't manage to find anyone else experiencing the same problem. (I just learned to ignore them)

Still works perfectly even with neptools based modding such as doing a retranslation patch for the game: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=542831125 . After extracting the contents of the retranslation zip, I did a dll override with dinput 8 in protons winecfg in /steamapps/compatdata/351710/pfx . The pfx is the default proton prefix for this game, no 32bit prefix required. Use the default 64bit prefix by proton.
To enable this, I used in terminal: $ protontricks --gui. Then i selected a library game which had the id 351710 and it says Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;birth 2. Afterwards I select the Default wineprefix and press run winecfg. Then go to libraries and type dinput8 , and add as an existing dll override. Make sure it says native, built in. Then close winecfg and winetricks and press play in steam. You should now be able to run a retranslation patch for this game and any Neptools based mods. Game runs perfectly on its own but I used retranslation patch to make the English Localisation better and more accurate.
This also works with Neptunia Re;birth 3 with its own retranslation patch. You should know it working when the title screen shows it saying retranslation and a different font. You could do this in winetricks as well but Protontricks was simpler for me. or search winecfg in that prefix /pfx using your preferred file manager and run it from there and do your dll override.

Runs perfectly

Works perfectly out of the box. Nep Nep Nep.

Everything is working

Everything works as it should.

Runs perfectly. Nothing abnormal.

Just works.

Playing/moving to another steam library drive may requires you to delete the Proton Folders on both drives and revalidate.
Neptools DLL mods do not work, the "retranslation" patch will not work.

Launch and running smoothly, but no sound in game, only in opening. Tried beta and stable proton releases (3.16-1 and 3.7-8)

Works just fine.

No noticeable issues. 60fps gameplay.
