Tinker Steps:Switch to older version: 6.3-8

I had loads of issues trying to get the game to launch, both on Wayland and X11. I tried various Proton versions, many combinations of launch parameters, tinkered with GfxConfig.ini, and messed with Protontricks, but in the end, after undoing all those changes, I got it working simply by forcing Proton 6.3-8.

Strange Launch Issue Fixed by Turning It Off and On Again

Game was working fine and then I suddenly got an "Assertion Failed C++ Error" when trying to launch the game. Going into the game's properties on Steam and unchecking "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" and then rechecking it triggered an "update" that fixed the issue.

Everything else worked as expected.

The game wouldn't launch using Wayland at all. I found a bug report on Proton's GitHub (https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/412) that concluded the issue was with SDL_VIDEODRIVER being set to "Wayland". Using a local launch option override I was able to launch the game (still under Wayland) and it ran flawlessly.
