-dev -mod EasternFront
Cursor too small. Seems to depend on the desktop resolution. The cursor is bigger, if I change the desktop resolution from 3840x2160 to 1920x1080. In game resolution is also 1920x1080.
Eastern Front does not start from the Steam games list. You need to start the original CoH with the following parameters: -dev -mod EasternFront
stability
To make this mod load and open from shortcuts in menu or on desktop:
- Install CoH + CoH EF Mod in Steam (apply any launch options that are required for CoH to run)
- Install Lutris & link it with Steam
- Make sure Both CoH + CoH EF Mod are showing as installed in Lutris.
- Within Lutris right click CoH EF and go "Configure" & go to "Game Options" tab
- Replace the application ID of 317600 with 228200 (the one for stock CoH)
- In the Arguments box enter "-dev -mod ef_beta"
- Click Save & Make a shortcut for CoH EF from Lutris.
The issue with launching the CoH EF Mod directly from steam will remain this is just a convinent workaround.
The issue appears to me to be caused by the custom .exe trying to launch CoH in Windows Steam install that doesn't exist so it crashes.
This shortcut will allow you to have functioning shortcuts for both CoH & CoH EF without needing to manually adjust launch options each time.
Should work for any other CoH Mod but I haven't tested any others.

Can't get it to work
It probably don't work because it isn't installed into the base game properly.

(Update) Launched on the base game (not the mod) using: %command% -dev -mod ef_beta -nomovies. Loads more slowly, but performs normally.
Takes more loading time, but performs normally
Multiplayer is not tested.

don't bother

Doesn't even start. Maybe killed by steam itself
