Seems to work on latest official Proton without tinkering now.
Launched game and played a match in Arcade mode against the CPU.
I reccomend disabling vsync through the " Configure Settings" launch option, and also using a community layout, as the official one doesn't even let you use the D-pad
Introduction videos are not playing oob. I converted the videos using the following one line ** for i in *.mpg; do ffmpeg -i "$i" -c:v libtheora -qscale:v 8 "${i%.}.mkv"; done ** . Next back up and delete the original video files, and rename the extension of the converted videos to their original .mpg extensions. Location of the video files: /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Guilty Gear X2 #Reload/movie/
Without converting the videos the cutscenes do not play.
Game runs perfectly OOTB.

#Reload had been broken since Proton 4, but it was very recently fixed in Proton Experimental (Proton 7.0-2 RC). Switch to experimental and it'll work great. Experienced no issues using the provided gamepad layout.
Controller needs to be set manually through settings
Won't work on newer versions of Proton. You need to install directshow through Protontricks to get the cutscenes to play
The Game works Fine With Proton 4.11-13.
Xbox One Controller have a wrong mapped.
No Video Introduction, when you Start the Game, this have a video introduction, but is totally Missing.
Not Work: Proton 5.0-9 have Graphics Glitches, don't use it.
Work: The Game works Fine With Proton 4.11-13. but You have not Intro at Start the game, and you have to remap de Xbox One Controller.

the game is fully playable but he will be missing content without even knowing it.
as i said before, there is no introduction video, so there is no audio for such video either. not even an black screen playing the music in the background, the content is totally missing.
there is no introduction video, the game should start with an openin video, but it does not.
i'm using an generic xbox controller, but the controller mapping is all wrong.
