Run on GE-Proton and you will have a easy blast with this game! Just dont skip the company logos.
Crashes if you skip the company logos, wait until the title screen roll before skipping
When running the normal Proton Versions (8.0-5.9.0-2, 10.0-1 Etc). The company logos and intro roll will just be missing and will force a crash. When running Glorious Eggroll Proton the game will run just like it is on WIndows.
Haven't had any crash changing resolution settings (I run on 2560x1440), and no crashes when saving, customizing, loading save zones etc. Finished 2 endings
Controller support works well when wired (I use a PS5 controller), while wireless can be 50/50 reconized. Enable Steam Input for best compatability.
No longer works after latest update
Since the June 26 Supported Language Update, the game crashes on startup and is now completely unplayable. Previously, it launched successfully but crashed only if the intro video was skipped. Now, it crashes immediately even when the intro plays normally, preventing gameplay.
I noticed that the Ghostlight intro logo (which played before the main intro) is now missing post-update, I suspect this to be the cause, though further verification is needed.
Tested Proton Versions:
Steam Proton 9.0-4 (latest)
Proton 7.0-6
GE-Proton 10-8 (latest)
Result: No Proton version resolves the crash.
Status: No known workarounds exist to launch the game.
It ran with no issues, played for about 2 hours straight. I skipped the intro with no issues. Just change the Proton version to 7.0-6 and it should work fine.
Works out of the box.

Played for 3h yesterday, game didn't crash I was able to skip the cutscene before the game menu.
I didn't skip any ingame cutscene yet, but as a first time player, I would recommend anyone to watche them as they are crucial to understanding how to progress in the story.
Just let the intro movies play until you get to the main menu. The game runs fine and has been played for 2 hours straight with no crash
Skipping the intro movies crashes back to Steam
I had an opposite experience of previous reports where attempting to skip the intros caused the game to crash but letting them play would work. As a workaround I replaced all the intro movies with a blank wmv from https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/1244-empty-wmv-file/
Just make sure you rename and replace them correctly or the game will crash without em.
Clocked TDP to 6 and GPU clock to 1000 with no issues
Game crashes if you don't skip the intro company credit roll. Just mash start button at launch until main menu and you'll be good.

Confirming: Crashes if you skip the intro movie
Confirming that the game now works on the more recent Proton-GE builds. Was able to load an old save and play normally.

PhysX must be installed as with native Windows copy.
Opening splash videos do not work, skipping them causes game to crash but otherwise everything works.
Game won't even launch without physx installed. After that just skip the intro with spacebar and play the game.

You have to spam spacebar to skip the intro cutscene. The game will crash otherwise. After that it runs fine.
nvidia physx failed to initialized
after i installed nvidia physx(the installation of nvidia physx is a process to do even on windows)with WINEPREFIX=~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/312780/pfx/ winetricks physx ,i only achieve to go further the opening video and after that i get the error:

Tried installing various video codecs through protontricks, as well as typical stuff like no esync. Still nothing. Won't start at all as far as I can tell.
