Full game needs a patch as described by the fellow review below. Otherwise quite solid, if not for common stuttering when loading CGI elements. Since this got better after I had installed the game onto an SSD, I am fairly certain that is not to blame on Proton. Tested on my Steam Deck with Cachy OS installed!

On the publisher's page (https://saikeystudios.com/product/tunnel-escape/) downloaded the steam patch. Using bottles, optimized for applications and used soda. I then mounted the steam files directory as the Y drive. Then ran the exe within that bottle to apply the patch to the game files
Ran just fine and detected controller fine as well
