Managed to launch it, freezes on the screen where the game asks to look at a specific point. SteamVR doesn't stream the game at all.

Couldn't get the game to work.
Black Screen - even with vcrun2015

Quest 2 through ALVR. I've tried several different versions of Proton (Experimental, 9.0-4, GE-Proton9-23, GE-Proton9-7) including blowing away the prefix and trying GE-Proton9-7 again with a fresh prefix, but I always get the black screen. Interestingly, if I look at my monitor, I can see the mouse cursor switching to what the game uses but after installing vcrun2015 the cursor stays as my KDE one. Updating ALVR also didn't help.
It runs well. There is occasional hitching with my setup, but that's more linkely due to alvr than to the game itself.
protontricks 2878270 vcrun2015 fixes the black screen on launch error.
only a black screen was displayed until protontricks was used to install vc++ 2015 in the prefix.

If you do not install vcrun2015, game gives you a black screen at the start and won't proceed from there.
