I mean it works, but is an old game so keep your expectations modest. Also, most linux distributions have this natively so you could install with "sudo apt install uqm" rather than using proton with the windows version (not sure why the developers haven't included the linux port in Steam...). That said, it runs perfectly under proton, so no big concerns.
