There's an issue where installing the H-patch seems to just delete the DLC file. If you want to patch this with the DLC you may need to patch it on a Windows machine and manually transfer the files over. Otherwise without the DLC there should be barely any issues post-patch.
If you want to play this with the latest versions of the FFfox mod on Linux, you shouldn't be using the Kagura/Steam version at all. You will get ~6-12 fps at best. For that case you should seek out a different version (fan-translated) as a base to patch the mod onto.
Attempted to install the H-Patch by running the installer itself through Wine, installer seems to work fine but the patch actually deletes the DLC. This appears to be a primarily Linux issue.
I feel it would be disingenious to mark this as a negative report, since the game works fine as it is sold on Steam, but if you intend to use the patch with the DLC you may have no option but to install the patch on a Windows computer and transfer the files manually. If you do this it works perfectly, but it's a total pain. I may recommend buying this game directly from Kagura Games' website if your intent is to play the game uncensored.

Works out of the box if playing vanilla. Do not recommend using FFfox's Kitsune mod if playing on deck. Experienced significant performance issues on deck while using mod.

Install the game normally and run it once. After that, download the patch from https://www.kaguragames.com/product/living-with-sister-monochrome-fantasy/ to your system.
Rename it to something without spaces, like "h_patch.exe".
In steam, go to properties, and set launch options to the following:
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Proton\ -\ Experimental/proton waitforexitandrun ~/Path/To/h_patch.exe; echo %command%
Run the game on steam. It will launch the patch installer. Proceed normally.
Once it finishes patching the game, remove the launch options and launch the game normally.
