great game and beautiful graphics if you can get used to sub 60 FPS at 4K
Averaging 34-45 FPS in game

gamemodrun %command%
Had a crash first launch, and then played several hours with no issues once I switched to experimental and gamemodrun.

Runs fine windowed or fullscreen. FPS drops at max graphical settings but thats more likely due to UE5 optimization.

A more comprehensive version of MGS3 for those who prefer mouse and keyboard controls
Ghosting appears after entering steam shift tab menu
Backpack menus causes lag

For the most part, the game runs like native. I tested the performance between Arch and Windows and found it to be identical.
Menu slowdown
Only issue I ran into was lag in the survival viewer when scrolling through items.

only on initial run
Long black screen when starting the game, but still starts ok. Crashed during opening area of game during first test, Finished virtuous mission on second. No ultrawide support. initial testing with proton-cachyos, which seems to be fine (on second boot).
I got 60fps in game, but i have reasonably decent hardware. menus were jittery though, which might be a UE5 problem. Overall it works with no tinkering (so far). I'll do an updated report when I finish the game properly instead of skipping all the cutscenes

GPU is actually a 4090 on GPU Drivers 580.76.05
Early Access version 1.1.1 I was able to just boot up the game no problem on GE-proton, but I'm sure using the current stable or expiermental would work just as well

First one here! If you loved MGS this will be an auto buy anyways
very resource intensive

gamemoderun %command% -d3d12
it was a little finicky when I adjusted any settings and I had to restart the game a few times but once I landed on settings I liked it ran fine
