1, add this line in the launch option to the game in steam: -conf "/FULL-PATH-TO-STEAMLIBRARY/steamapps/common/Duke Nukem 2/Nukem2.conf"
2, open NUKEM2.conf in a text editor, and: replace this "Mount C: .." with this "mount c /FULL-PATH-TO-STEAMLIBRARY/steamapps/common/Duke Nukem 2"
after that the game loads/runs perfectly
