I've never seen this, but it's the best game I've played on Linux (as far as Proton is concerned)
gamemoderun mangohud %command%

gamemoderun %command%
Played multiplayer for hours with friends on both windows and linux, worked like a charm, I even added a little config change to make the game works on a ultrawide monitor and gamescope with my weird 900p/21:9 resolution and it worked just fine, it's also a fun game.

Works out of the box
Runs just like it would on Windows - no issues whatsoever
Plays and loads smoothly.

It didn't work (or rather took forever) with experimental Proton
gamemoderun %command%

Tutorial is broken
Graphics not restored upon return from Alt-Tab.
Character location jumps.
Cannot play through the tutorial because tutorial events aren't triggered, and game won't respond to commands that the tutorial has blocked.
Works perfectly, performance is expected and runs OOTB.
Older Proton versions had performance or crashing issues. Using Proton 7, performance is now as expected and I have had no crashes.
fullscreen windowed couses fps drops
to have a stable perfomance if you cange the settings in game you need to restart the game
It only needs proton set to 3.16-9.
Game is poorly optimized, specially in town where it loads up to 20 players it can get a bit choppy.
Game often fails to properly close, resulting in a rather inflated play time.
Game works well enough, wish it was better optimized, seen better looking games running at higher fps on my card.

Just as long they don't alt tab (maybe play on windowed), they should be fine.
The game itself played perfectly on full screen, but god forbid you alt+tab it out of it. It will freeze slow, freeze and then crash.
To be fair with steam play, my gf had a similar problem in windows 10 with a weaker hardware.
Works perfectly with no issues

Crash after "Play" button with Proton 5.21-GE-1
Crash even with PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1.
Fatal error!

Game's pretty good, even better once cracking sound gets solved
Only issue I have is crackling sound, not sure how to solve it, but otherwise game runs like a champ!
Game really needs to close without the user running a terminal command.
Game fails to close correctly. Solved with the command:
ps aux | grep 'Dungeon Defenders 2' | grep -v grep | xargs kill -KILL

Doesn't launch
Don't know why, but it was better before
it will start windowed and not full resolution, but you can change this
2-10 FPS near War Table, up to 50 FPS in corners (low); 1-24-30 FPS at Greystone Plaza (low, empty map)
FPS are low, especially in town. But friends on Windows have approx. the same perf. problems
I'm able to already enjoy the game because the artifacts and performance collapses occur irregularly.
Sometimes there are some black artifacts at the edge of the screen
Hordes of opponents cause performance collapses

very well at 4K with meddium settings (45 -60 fps)

FPS are somewhat low (~ 30 - 50)

Managed to login, connect to a tavern and play a mission. Performance doesn't appear to be great dropping as low as 30fps . Some other minor glitches with fullscreen and the mouse cursor behaving odd at times.

Now starts up and enters game fine. Haven't had time to play fully yet but basic movement, commands, windowed mode and full screen all work flawelessly.

One battle played fine and so did running around the first place you spawn into. Haven't tested it further, but it feels fairly native.

Plays the intro MP4 but game itself doesn't start. Free to play though so worth testing on with newer MESA.

Game launcher lags. Texture and sound issues. Bad performance.

Bit slower fps than windwos

Online mode not works
