Both Absolute Power and Special Steam Edition come as broken when first downloaded. The fix to this is to verify the integrity of both games files. After that both work great.

Works perfectly out of the box
I was able to complete the whole game on Linux with absolutely no issue.
Works out of the box with 0 issues.
Crashes when starting

protontricks ... d3dx9
Played GOG version with Proton 7.0-1 and install d3dx9.
Works perfectly fine
Works like native
Works out of the box

The only graphical artifact I have noticed is 1-colored cursor (originally it should be 2-colored).
I recommend using with wine 5.7 (tested also with 5.6 and it worked worse).
Silently crashes on start. No window, no error message.

It works as if it were a native game

Water doesn't render. There are few visual artifacts and its occasionally bit choppy, but in general is playable.

Crashes from time to time not sure how to fix it.

Game FPS becomes a slideshow when zooming out.

Everything works, performance is on par with Windows for the most part (lags a little immediately after the loading screen for around 10 seconds but is fine afterwards)

takes a few seconds when you start moving around the camera to load stuff and get proper fps, bu after that it's silky smooth, more than 90 fps.

Game run great but arrow keys don't work.

Good overall performance. Depending on the camera view, frame rate fluctuates rapidly between 30-120 fps with ultra settings, but the game remains responsive at all times. Controlling the camera with Alt does not work.

Biggest issue by far, is that they keyboard not works. This breaks the tutorial (as you need alt-key to pan) and it makes the make very difficult to control.

I had no problems playing it. I'm just missing being able to move the camera with the keys but I don't remember if this game allows that or not.

Installs and starts without problems. During play, the arrow keys don't work. So movement is only possible using the mouse. Some display settings (e.g. antialiasing) lead to crash.

Works with no problems

Have CD code ready when starting game for first time, otherwise it will crash when you Alt-Tab. After that, it won't crash while Alt-Tabbing. Gets between 100-200 fps.

Fullscreen focus issues when trying to type in CD-key. Once you manage to load it, game seems to run fine. Runs OK with medium settings @720p, a bit slow with ultra settings.

"Error creating process <msiexec /i vcredist.msi>. Reason: File not found" when attempting to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redist. Game does not run, instead a box with the text "Application load error 5:0000065434" appears
