Works okayish with Proton
Frame rate drops when you move the mouse around
There are slight performance issues but the game is still playable.
Using save from Windows which had fullscreen disabled.
Text is not rendered properly. Tested both English and Japanese.
Unable to switch out of fullscreen once you have enabled it. (fullscreen is enabled by default)
Without any readable text, the menus could be difficult to browse (especially for first time players) and you are unable to enjoy Story Mode properly. Endless Mode can be played just fine. Unless you have played the game already, this game will be problematic since you don't have any text.

In previous proton versions, installing d3dx9_35 was needed for any text to be displayed. Text is displayed properly with current proton versions, but the game crashes as soon as you try to start a level if the above protontricks command is not run.
The Game itself runs but all the Text Rendering is broken
