proton 9.0-10 works even with securom cd key auth, it shows a white screen once booted, you just press it twice and the game plays, no multiplayer, as gamespy is dead, but the rest works fine
On start a white screen appears click a few times and it will continue into the game.
Fonts looked a bit off but still readable.
No Launch Options needed. You are welcomed by a white window: click a few times inside and wait about 10 seconds, then the main menu appears. Alt+Enter to go fullscreen. Activate securom with the CD Key provided by Steam. Multiplayer works too !! (I only tried on LAN, but it should work also over internet if you open the right ports) You need a "gamespy" server/emulator like this : http://aluigi.altervista.org/papers/gs_login_server.zip The source code is provided, it's very easy to compile (all is well explained in gs_login_server.txt)
Game window instantly crashes. Tried all three launcher options (disable esync, d3d11 and use wine d3d11), but neither worked unfortunately.
