Native Support
Although this game has a Linux-native build available, Steam does not list it as having Linux support. This can happen if a game has an unofficial, unfinished, or unsupported build. You may need to force Steam to enable Proton for the game in order to run properly.

Game goes through install scripts with a UI but after completing it closes and refuses to open again.
Does not work properly.

Able to run 'first time set-up' but does not launch after.
Not Launchable.
just not even try to boot up
pure disappointment. NOT WORKS AT ALL .

Steam Plays for this game is borked as others have mentioned, but with tweaks native will run
However unlike others I got the native version to run on Manjaro following information on this https://www.linuxsecrets.com/archlinux-wiki/wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Steam/Game-specific_troubleshooting.html#Dwarfs_F2P specifically deleting certain files in the Dwarfs F2P folder (libX11.so.6, libsteam.so libtier0_s.so, libvstdlib_s.so, steamclient.so) allows the game to run. One "dependency" doesn't show up in the package manager or anywhere except an archived GitHub page that only mentions it no downloads. Though without it the game will launch and play.
Just closes after a while, without even appearing in the taskbar. Same with native version.

Does not launch.
