Found a way to have it fully smooth without freezes
- Grab the wolf files decrypter at https://github.com/Sinflower/WolfDec
- Run all the *.wolf files in the data folder through it (might be faster to do that on windows or write yourself a bash script).
- You shoudl now have a folder for every .wolf file, containing all the game resources unpacked.
- Remove/rename all the original .wolf files otherwise the game will try and load from them
- Enjoy your smooth game.
If you don't want to go trought the hassle of decrypting the files... don't bother playing it, otherwise, the game is perfectly playable start to finish on steamdeck.
Random crackling after clicking on buttons that lead to a new level.
Everytime an asset is getting loaded for the first time, game wil hang for some seconds. This resets every time a new level is started aswell. Becomes annoying really quick.
Unless you don't have any other mean to play it, don't bother. Play it on windows.
Replaced game files with another version
Periodic lags when it is supposed to load assets
Game can't properly exit, you dhould manualy hit thr button in steam, or it will stuck as "running".
Well, I am not encouraging unethical obtaining, but I replace my legitimately bought game files with obtained version from other sources, and lags are completely gone. Looks like that's steam version's problem, or at least, publisher's issue.
Installed the patch with great difficulty.
Sometimes when touching at the edge of the screen the mouse would be kinda locked and you would have to touch inside the game again.
It stutters at the start of the game and each shift as if it's loading but after that loading phase it runs smoothly till it reaches another loading phase.
The patch was a pain in the ass to install due to the installer not recognizing the steam hidden library I made a second steamlibrary folder and that helped.

Stutters heavily for ~15 seconds every few seconds. Currently unplayable and would be near impossible to obtain any substantial progress.

Game runs generally well but keeps freezing for several seconds
Games freezes for several seconds from time to time (probably while loading assets?).
Due to the somewhat frequent freezes duriong gameplay, I can not recommend the game at this time. It is generally playable and it always recovers from a freeze, but it significantly degrades the experience.
