The game runs great on the OLED steam deck, but with the EOS problem I can't play with my friends for now.
The game keeps saying EOS Timeout when booting up just before main menu, causing private multiplayer worlds to get disabled for singleplayer use only. Official and Community dedicated servers work, but not private worlds. Not sure what EOS is anyways.
Will continue to mess with it in the hopes it will work properly.

Runs well without any issues There was a small piece of a rock that had an odd smear to it, but I can't really consider that to be bad. If you want to play a pokemon-like game on a Steam Deck, this is absolutely a good experience.

the game works perfectly with my bluetooth controller but does not detect the default deck controller.

I don't think it's because of the Steam Deck. It's the game's fault.
Slowness problems when there's a lot of pals in the base
When it starts to go slow just restart the game and it works great again (memory allocation problems?)

Framerate is between 30-40 in my test with some dips into the 20s depending on what's loading in.

Changing graphics settings to low / medium
UI is small on the deck screen and scaling is not possible
some micro lags
But you need to manually change the graphics settings, for a good experience.

A playable version if this is your only way of experiencing the game, but pretty poor performance overall.
Downloaded and installed Steam Deck Essentials Mod from Nexus Mods
Text is unreadable below 720p. Even at that resolution it's on the smaller side with no option to adjust font size.
The game's optimization seems very poor right now. Struggles to hold anything above 40 fps, and that's with multiple layers of performance configuration and minimum settings.

The constant crashing of your entire steam deck will make this a pretty horrible experience, barely getting to actualy play the game.
Tried limiting to 40FPS to save batteries, but it made the game even less stable. Overall, you barely get an hour of gameplay from full charge.
While it doesn't have a launcher, it doesn't automatically focus on the game when it's launched, so you need to manually select it from the steam menu.
Some text is very small on the Deck.
Sometimes defaults the Steam Deck's controls to controller 2, even with no other controller connected.
Frames drops when launching the game, but they mostly stabilize after a while when not in a base.
Crashes every 20 or so minutes, forcing a reboot of the entire steam deck every time. It would then get stuck on synching to the cloud, making the whole process waste a good 10 minutes every time.
Wait for fixes or try streaming it from a PC, but avoid getting it for your Steam Deck in its current state.

30-40 fps
Crashes a lot durring the first tower boss.
You can have the textures at higher than lowest.
playable stick to 30FPS. Occasionally crashes, once every 2-3hr. Autosave mostly eliminates data loss issues

It may be a good experience someday but right now it's not worth the headaches. UI readability needs major improvemnts for Deck play.
Almost everything, but particulary the inventory is almost impossible to use without magnification.
Performance is poor on all platforms and the Deck is no exception. Possible to get stable 30-40 FPS but it will look pretty awful.
I had 4 hard crashes (unrecoverable) in under 4 hours of play.

Drops to single digit frames during play, seemingly with no reasoning, as it happens just while exploring.
Crashes regularly, sometimes in minutes, sometimes after a couple hours, but it will always crash.

Text is very small.
I was able to get around 30-45 FPS on low settings depending on the area, up to solid 45 using "Steam Deck Essentials" mod.

Worked out of the box on day one, played for hours on my steamdeck. I just tried it on my pop!_os machine and it launched there as well.
Fun game, worth it, runs fine.

Perfectly servicable performance. A sturdy 25-30fps without adjusting any graphics settings.
UI seems to be at a fixed scale, which is difficult to parse without an external screen.
Worked perfectly, even via a Mobile Connection to a Dedicated Server running at a Data Center.
Text is quite small when playing on the Decks screen, as the UI seems to be at a fixed scale. Lowering the resolution to improve performance or battery life just results in the UI also getting scaled down, making stuff like FSR ineffective for this game.

Though the issues are pretty significant, the game is still definitely fun to play and works significantly better in handheld mode.
The audio sometimes cuts out, gets worse the more the game stutters.
Sometimes inputs are not registered at all. Requires button mashing or sometimes even a restart to fix. Input issues seem to affect random binds, not an issue with one specific input.
Significant stuttering that ends up turning into complete lock-ups after about an hour, requiring a hard restart. Battles and boss make the stuttering significantly worse.
Sometimes the game would completely lock, requiring a force close/restart. There are times it feels like it is crashing when it hangs for 10+ seconds but actually doesn't.
The game's performance definitely is something that needs to be fixed, as it looks and handles significantly worse than many AAA games with much higher requirements.
Default settings, low shadows and world detail

Its an alright performance for the Deck, fps are around 30-40 on average if everything is set to low
turned every setting to low and enabled fsr

This game looks terrible on the lowest graphics, which is what I need to put the game on to get more than 5 fps. Even then I get a max of 16
The game stays under 20fps at all times

Hosting a co-op game from deck hard crashes roughly every 30 to 60 minutes, have to hold power button to force shutdown.

game is nice, but regular crash (1 time per 2 hours) will annoy. Additionally, decreasing frame rate could also annoy.
Some text like work of each animal is too small
I fixed FPS on 30, but from time to time it was decreased to 15fps.
I've played for 6 hours. It crashed 3 times including 1 time in a boss battle.

After 16 hours, no crashes. 30-40 FPS, Dungeons mostly in fully 60+ FPS (feels awesome!) Everything on low, shadows & textures on medium.
A + B + X + Y
Depends on how good you can read, it's small atm
Played for around 2 hours online. Runs stable, no crashes. Game is not optimized for dedicated servers yet so keep in mind to play lokal. Host it from a friends pc if possible.
So far one of the best experiences on the deck. Feels like Pokémon back in the years on the first Nintendo DS. Totally addicted to the game, especially playing in bed with the steam deck. Controller Support without any issues! Drops under 30 fps sometimes but overall a very enjoyable and must have experience! Dungeons and bosses mostly run on 60 fps, which feels so awesome. Makes me even more addicted when I see how flawlessly it can run. FSR is not available yet and I wouldn't recommend downscaling.
Keep in mind it is still early access but for now you can play without any issues. Graphics aren't perfect but hey, it's all about the gameplay.
Such an awesome game! Give it a few weeks / month and it might run flawlessly on the deck.

Game requires you to type in invite code to join friends. Physical or onscreen keyboard required.

Quest objectives, mob names/levels/hp etc are hard to read especiall when they are moving

Worked great! (when it worked, though this isn't the SD's fault but the games)
Was able to connect and play with 2 friends (both of which were also on SD).
- Battery life was ~2 hours
- Set on medium preset

Crash in dungeons and Boss battles. Can't Complete tutorial as of now given the last task is a Boss battle.
