The game launches to a black screen. Simply change to windowed mode using the drop-down menu at the top of the screen, exit the game, then re-launch, and after that, you're set.
The ...ahem... patch can be applied by running the exe with Proton. Other than the black screen issue, the game runs perfectly. Animations, sprites, text, voices, etc. all work.
