I got it to run under proton but there is a something I want to note. The first time I got past the graphics tinkering I went to options to set graphics and I switch from Direct X 11 to 12 did not try Vulkan but I am certain there is nothing wrong with it. Do not put it on dirext x 12!!! When I did it went to load the game and would freeze and reset the game mode to the steam logo.. I had to uninstall the game install it again and leave it on Direct X 11 thre is nothing wrong with changing the graphics settings. Just do not use direct x 12 yet and if you do change it try vulkan. If that causes the freezing error you will have to reinstall the game.
