In Steam Deck Desktop Mode with fullscreen, moving the mouse cursor to top menubar may cause the mouse click not working. Using Alt-Tab to switch to other windows and then switch back to the game can fix this problem.
When starting the game in Steam Deck Desktop Mode with windowed screen, the screen may flicker or be low FPS. In Steam Deck Gaming Mode or fullscreen, screen is displayed normally.
OP can play with GE-Proton9-1. There is no need to install quartz.

Install quartz to play OP
No keyboard in big picture and no save in desktop mode is a hassle to setup. Very playable otherwise

Dropped TDP to 4 and GPU clock speeds down to 400
Audio rarely started crackling when the device was put to sleep for an extended period(5-10 minutes).
I played through the entire game on deck and only ran into audio crackling when I put the system to sleep, and that was only a one time experience. You can bump TDP and GPU clocks to their minimum for a slight boost to battery life, but effect heavy scenes will have a noticable impact on fps and I was already getting 5+ hours so I suggest leaving them at my recommended settings. Otherwise, this game is an absolute treat to have running portably.
the game runs well if you don't care there are some small problems(
black screen in windowed mode. runs well in fullscreen mode, but moving the mouse to top of the screen will cause black screen...
