TDP Limit to 8w, fps limit to 60fps for OLED to improve battery life (~4hrs). Never (!) go below 60fps to avoid input lag.
TDP Limit to 8w.
Overall it was an okay experience. The input lag was the biggest downside causing issues with the quicktime events.
set 5 watt tdp to save battery life no impact on perfomence at a locked 30
It automatically set the game to 720p and it could not be changed, causing black bars at the top and bottom.
30FPS, 5W, 600 Mhz, max in-game settings
The game switches to a keyboard/mouse layout when you accidentally tap the touch screen. It requires pushing any Deck button dozens of times until the game realizes it needs to switch back to the gamepad layout. Might be quite annoying if this happens during QTEs
Despite a mouse/keyboard - gamepad switching problem this was one of the most perfect Deck experiences I've ever had. With a 30 FPS cap and some Wattage/GPU limits, you can get a decent amount of battery life with a solid performance.
Had to set the default layout to gamepad, was set to WASD for some reason. Game already has fine gamepad support, so no point in emulating WASD. Wish steam did this by default on games that have verified controller support... I digress. This is a great game to run on the steamdeck, despite it's official status as 'unknown' right now. So if you were unsure, get it!
Works fine in general but certain scenes seem to not load. Might be fixed in a future update.
Sometimes gets stuck on a loading screen in some scenes
