Graphics options must be turned off Bloom and Vignette, otherwise there will be rectangular block gradient color flashing on the right side of the screen.Apart from this, there are no other rendering errors for the time being. Even with the same settings, there may be subtle picture quality differences compared to Windows.

I'm using a Steam library on a Windows partition, and the mounted partition is in NTFS format. I'm using the highest quality settings, and when I drive too fast, I start to drop frames, with the screen freezing for 1-3 seconds, and only 2 frames at this time... When the speed is slow, it's about 40 to 60 frames. Maybe it's a problem with NTFS, and the reading speed is not fast enough?
When you exit the game, an error message will be displayed every time. It may also happen occasionally with native Windows support. Just close the error reporting program, which will not affect the progress saving.
This game is only supported on Windows and must be run using Proton.

Game runs Ok, despite all these issues listed on protonDB.com.

Minor Issue: The higher grass on Ibiza looks a bit weird (like glass and transparent). Heavy Issue: On some graphic presets you will only get a very bright screen with a lot of texture issues. When using "Custom" or "Ultra" i didn't encounter this issue.
Works out of the box, Performance issues are the same as on Windows (game related).

Heavy artifacting when enabling bloom on Radeon 5600xt.
Stuttering, i.e. frametime instability.
Servers are occassionally down and won't let you play since game is online only.
Stuttering is present even on lowest settings. Game can't hold a constant 60fps to save the life of its developers. It's even worse with VSYNC disabled.
Despite the introduction of SARD kernel level "AI" anticheat, it still works
The game still performs just like on windows, all microstutters included, just that now you will see a SARD launcher and icon in the app tray.
The game works completely as it would on Windows. Optimization is an issue of the game itself therefore performance is all over the place.
ProtonDB calls this a tinkering report when all I did was change to Proton Experimental. 9.0-3 works sometimes, doesn't most of the time. GE9-15 works just as well as Proton Experimental.
on 40 series nvidia, but framegen does not seem to be supported. (On Windows it looked awful anyway with really buggy glitches near UI elements)

Once you get it going it runs about as well as can be expected. The FPS is not great even on Windows so it's more the fault of the game
Will have to experiment on what version of Proton works. For me it liked Experimental
The game runs as it would on my windowns partition, its just that its pretty much unplayable with the graphical glitches.
Everything that isnt UI is in negative color and really bright. (turning your contrast and brightness down in setting lets you atleast see where you are going)
Give it another week or 2 for new proton versions to come out if your game looks like a nuke just went off.

With the latest patch 30th Sept, I've been able to just fire up the game and play online.
Simply downloaded from Steam and played. The graphics defaulted to low, and DLSS is not available (even though I have an RTX card), but FSR is available, it seems. With a 4070 Ti I am getting around 60FPS on High Settings. Ultra brings it down to aboute 40FPS so I am sticking with High. I see people are online but never encountered any in races. I've heard that's a thing regardless of OS.
Save data also includes graphics settings
Runs fine if you're ok with 20-25 FPS on lowest settings

Unfortunately it doesn't work via Steam Proton, Lutris and Custom Wine Environment, let's hope the full release does!
tried multiple (can be found in WRC sections of this site)
Tried to run it through Lutris and Wine with winetricks, tried many settings combinations and even Compatibility set to Windows 8 (according to some findings in the Steam discussions, that should have done the trink). Unfortunately it didn't work.
It’s not launching for me, no error, nothing. (Linux Mint 21.3)
Also tried Experimental and GE 9-7 but no luck
Demo does not launch at all.
Similarly to others, game just does not launch. You click play but nothing happens. Tried different Proton versions with no success.
