Some slight stuttering and no online multiplayer but is very playable
Some stuttering on the starts of plays and cutscenes
I could not for the life of me get this game to run on my Arch or Debian installs, I've recently been using Fedora and decided to give this game another shot and it worked first try
Performs great
It runs perfectly on my system. I think there may be something wrong with online play (Desyncs every time) but I have no idea if that's to do with running it on Linux or just something on EA's end. This game is a bug fest. I wouldn't recommend it gameplay-wise but it works on Proton.
Game Does Not Boot
Will not start up. Game immediately closes after clicking play.
People seem to hate this game because of the history of Madden, but I just wanted to input that it seems to run fine.
Game would freeze/crash if I tried to alt-tab out
Online play doesn't seem to work as I kept getting kicked out of games for "desync". Not sure if that's related to playing on linux though.
Ran using latest version of vanilla proton. This now works. I had no issues. It didn't work about a month ago when I ran it with multiple versions of proton.
Origin installs but game never starts.
Origin installs but when it starts it complains that "origin is unable to install games here" despite the game being installed. If I try to start the game anyway (after letting origin crash and restart itself) the game never starts.
