Playable, but not ideal.
For videos to play I had to pause and unpause the game and had to repeat that at the begning of each clip. Skip viewed scenes didn't work for me at all.
Sometimes the voice was not in sync with motion if you go to the menu and back
Sometimes the game crashed, especially at later scenes, perhaps memory leaks? The pause of the game and skipping scenes does not work! It's a real pain if you want to get all achievements.
The game is great if you don't seek to all possible endings. I got all achievements and it took me a huge amount of time because of the bugs with skipping scenes and game crashes.
I give this a reluctant recommendation. It works and I played to the end. Unfortunately it crashed once halfway through and I lost all progress. The game does otherwise feel a little janky. I think pausing is buggy, causing syncing problems.

at random intervals the game will pause and go to menu, didn't happen that often, like 6 to 7 times during a playthrough.
I also installed K-lite code pack as the previous report indicates, that didn't make the game work and i don't know if it had any effect, it only worked after i installed wmp9 through protontricks. also i don't think the latest glorious eggroll proton version that i'm using is necessary, it should work with the default too as long as you tweak through protontricks, but i didn't test that.
An interactive movie without the movie
it doesn't play the video which is big thing since it's an FMV game. Same with GE
This is an interactive movie. You can interact with the menu but the videos don't play.
The video doesn't start playing when the game starts. You're stuck on a black screen but can still access the menu to exit.
