Game starts, but swiftly after shows a screen saying "Unable to connect to Steam". After that the game automatically quits.

Played at 900p, didn't get 60fps but it was more than playable

Set off a ton of fireworks on several occasions and the game did not crash once. Super stable experience even on this laptop. On a desktop the performance would probably be much bettter.

With the current proton versions, this game seems perfectly able to run under proton without issues. Simply install and play. No tweaks needed.

While I do have "Proton Default" listed, you can do that or use a version like Proton 5.13-4

Regardless, this game should work right out of the box.
