The Game works great for the first several minutes, then becomes unplayable after the first posession

Drops below 15 FPS after exploding first body, drops to <1 FPS and becomes unplayable after passing through the next warp tube.
This occurs on any version attempting to install outside of the digital download version on Steam, which also does not work because you cannot get past the EA CD key checker. A rip of original Windows CD version in Heroic with Wine or with Proton, the same rip added to Steam running with Proton, adding the EA app to Steam and running the digital download version through the EA app with Proton; they all have the same problem of performance dropping off a cliff once the certain point in the game is reached. Was unable to correct with any method of forcing DirectX versions or tweaking game config files.
EA App broken
Can't get past CD Key verification, app fails to connect and if I verify the CD key in browser with connected account first, app still fails to verify with connected account.
Lags sometimes during gameplay but nothing too bad. Screen saver came on dont know if this is because of controller use and not mouse/keyboard.
The Core of the Game works like a charm (Platin) but the Loadingscreens take each several Minutes to complete (loading the Game, dying etc.)
